Toe Beans Cat Cafe is just five adoptions away from 200!
Co-owner Julie Lockhart-Thomspon says she’s thrilled to be approaching such a big milestone.
Lockhart-Thompson says that while COVID-19 has been difficult on them as a business, it’s been great for the cats.
Toe Beans works with three rescues – Northumberland Humane Society, Oshawa Animal Services and I Am Loved – and there are currently 11 cats available for adoption with a wide variety of personalities and temperaments.
Lockhart-Thompson says she knows adoption isn’t possible for everyone, but that there are other ways to support the cafe.
She says local businesses have also been great at hosting fundraisers to support the foster cats in their care.

The cat lounge is open to walk-ins, but appointments are encouraged.
