The Northumberland OPP are investigating a suspicious structure fire from Thursday (Sept 24).
Around 3:15 pm, OPP were notified of a residential fire on Dunnette Landing Road just south of Rice Lake.
Alnwick-Haldimand Township Fire Department were on the scene when police arrived at the fully engulfed structure fire.
One of the two occupants that escaped the blaze was transported to a nearby hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The Fire Marshal was contacted and will not be attending the scene.
The Northumberland OPP Major Crime Unit continues to investigate.
