We have an update.
The fire in Colborne on Saturday has been deemed suspicious.
The Northumberland OPP responded to the structure fire that was reported just before 1 pm on February 13th at a building located on the corner of Toronto Street and Church Street in Colborne.
Cramahe Township Fire, Brighton Fire and the Trent Hills Fire Departments worked collaboratively to quickly extinguish the fire that appeared to have started from within one of the apartments located on the upper level of the building.
All of the residents from the rental units escaped the blaze safely and no injuries were reported.
The OPP Major Crime Unit investigated the incident with the assistance from the Central Region Forensic Identification Services (FIS), and the Office of the Fire Marshal (OFM).
This fire has been deemed suspicious and the incident remains under investigation.
