The Firebird Club of Canada, has dedicated this year’s third annual Bandit Run Canada Firebird Nationals car show in memory of Kristey Yatin-kumar Patel.
Patel, a 14 year old Port Hope resident, succumbed to fourth-stage brain cancer last year while the community rallied behind her and her family.
Murray McMillan the founder and national president of the Firebird Club of Canada, remembers Kristey and her family coming out to support them in 2019. Because of this Mcmillan has created the “Kristey Patel Award’ in her honour. The top 3 fundraisers for this years Bandit Run will have there names etched onto the award.
You can watch vehicles like the ones seen in the hit movie Smokey and the Bandit depart Victoria Park at 9am Sunday.
The route will go to Port Hope where the police there will take over then travel out through Bewdley and then traverse towards Harwood.
