The Trent Severn waterway is scheduled to reopen on Friday.
Boaters will be happy to hear that recently closed locks – from Trenton to Hastings as well as around Peterborough, will open again on June 24th.
Flows will continue to increase outside of regular navigation hours as water dam management continues to relieve the system of excess water from the recent increased precipitation during June.
Increased flows overnight should be considered as non-navigable.
While water levels and flows are on the decline, residents and visitors are asked to continue to exercise extreme caution on and around the water and to lower speeds to limit wash and wake that can contribute to shore erosion.
