Port Hope will join communities across Ontario and Canada in observance of the Day of Mourning for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Second.
Some buildings and services will be closed including Town Hall and many municipal offices, Libraries and the Hope Transfer Station.
Transit, Town Park Rec Centre, and Jack Burger Sports Complex will be open and Crossing Guards will be on duty.
A book of condolences will be available at Town Hall during business hours until September 30th.
