This season, there will be enhanced trail maintenance thanks to over 17-thousand dollars in funding from the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs and the Great Pine Ridge Snowmobile Association.
The funds will be used to enhance trail safety in the County Forest by building a new section of trail, making repairs to the existing trail network and modifying entrance/exit points.
Northumberland County Forest has an extensive network of recreational trails, including 47 kilometers of trails designated specifically for motorized sports like snowmobiling.
For updates on when the trails will officially open, along with the latest snowmobile trail conditions, check out the (20+) Great Pine Ridge Snowmobile Association | Harwood ON | Facebook page.
