The Hamilton Township man responsible for the accident that killed Neil Henley and injured 3 others in August of 2021 has been sentenced to 6 years in federal prison.
According to Northumberland News, Hunter Smith plead guilty to the crimes earlier last year.
Smith was driving Henley’s Honda Civic approximately 162 kilometres per hour (km/h) on Highway 28 when the vehicle collided with a truck turning left as Smith attempted to pass.
Henley, aged 19, was pronounced dead at the scene.
