It took overtime to do it but for the Peterborough Petes were able to take down the London Knights with a 6-5 win last night in game three of the OHL Championship Series.
Tucker Robertson was the OT hero, finding the back of the net just 2:32 into the extra frame.
With the win, that took place in front of a record setting 4,000 fans at the PMC, the Petes took a 2-1 series over the Knights.
Robertson says the Peterborough fans are making this playoff run a fun experience for the team.
Although he’s obviously happy they got the win, Coach Rob Wilson admits that it wasn’t his team’s best performance.
Wilson says that despite the slow start he thought his team had, he knew they had it in them to finish strong and pull out the win.
Game 4 is set for tomorrow night at 7 p.m. from the PMC. You can listen live on Oldies, Freq and Classic Rock beginning at 7 p.m. with the Shoeless Joe’s Petes Tailgate Show.
