The Northumberland Aquatic Club is receiving additional support through the Ontario Trillium Fund.
On Monday June 12th, MPP David Piccini announced that Ontario is investing $33,200 into the club through the Foundation’s Resilient Communities Fund.
The grant, originally awarded in 2022, is supporting the Northumberland Aquatic Club over a nine-month period. This is the second funding support Northumberland Aquatic Club has received since 2021, when they originally invested $26,000.
MPP David Piccini said, “Supporting Ontario’s local sports clubs and organizations is vital to their long-term sustainability and providing opportunity to youth and adults across the province,”
Since the pandemic, the Trillium Foundation has granted over $50,000 to rebuild the club’s swimming programs, rebuild and update technology and equip their team with the knowledge to properly use new equipment to better serve the community.
