St. Peter’s Anglican Church grant support is making some apparent changes to the site. MPP David Piccini has announced that Ontario is investing $145,300 into the church through the Resilient Communities Fund.
Piccini spoke briefly about how St. Peter’s has supported the community through partnering with other community spaces.
Aside from the shiny new sign at the front of the building, the grant can fund upgrades so that programs like Thursday Night Light can continue to be delivered. Piccini says the increased support from The Trillium Foundation is essential to all communities.
One of the upgrades highlighted by St. Peter’s team is the addition of Wi-Fi on-site and in community centres, like the winter warming room. the grant also enabled St. Peter’s to work with an HVAC specialist to improve air flow on-sight.
The Ontario Trillium Foundation and their Resilient Communities Fund have supported numerous communities in Northumberland so far. Piccini says change doesn’t just come from the government.
