Following each election, the Municipal Council establishes the Strategic Plan for their term. This comprehensive plan encompasses a set of objectives, strategic initiatives, and envisioned achievements, which collectively steer the Municipality’s vision for the upcoming term.
The primary aim of this plan is to delineate strategic priorities and furnish both the Council and Town staff with a clear roadmap. It aids in the deliberation of service provisions and plays a pivotal role in facilitating the prosperity of our town.
At this week’s council, CAO Vaughan told the audience at Victoria Hall and those viewing from home about the desired outcomes of the new plan.
For Vaughan, it’s a big step forward from the previous plan that was perhaps too ambitious to begin with.
Vaughan told council that staffs goal was a plan that was clear, concise and actionable by council.
Tracey talked about the key priorities of the plan.
Another round of public consultation is the next step before the plan is brought back to council for final approval.
