A new strategic plan and the County’s first three-year budget are just a couple of highlights from a busy 2023.
We asked our new Warden Brian Ostrander for some highlights.
The Golden Plough Lodge project is on track to be completed on schedule as is the new home for the Northumberland County Archives and Museum.
Another achievement from the Warden’s perspective was the completion of the design for a new Trent River crossing in Campbellford.
Ostrander told us more about the new bridge in Trent Hills which will break ground in the new year.
Also top of mind for many in Northumberland was affordable housing. Ostrander told us the completion of phase one of the Elgin Park redevelopment was one of the big highlights for him.
The County also acquired 310 Division Street as the new home for Transition House.
Expect to hear more about that and have your say at public sessions that will be held in January.
