According to the CBC, Dahl pleaded guilty to carelessly storing firearms and public mischief after a bird was shot from his boat on Aug. 25, 2023 on the Murray Canal.
He’ll serve 12 months of probation, barred from owning firearms except for military duties, and must donate $500 to Ducks Unlimited.
He won’t have a conviction on his record after probation.
Dahl reportedly acknowledged his error, admitting it caused distress and embarrassment to his family and others who serve.
