Meals on Wheels plays an important role in communities across Northumberland.
Ingrid Anderson has been involved in the program through Community Care Northumberland (CCN) for several years and says you can be too.
Even if you work full-time, Anderson says being a volunteer driver can be very satisfying.
Anderson says the driving assignments are not exclusive to Meals on Wheels.
Volunteers are also enlisted to do in-home wellness checks.
Anderson says CCN is looking for volunteer drivers in Brighton, Trent Hills, Port Hope and Cobourg.
