Northumberland OPP have arrested a 25-year-old Cobourg woman following a public complaint about an impaired driver on November 15, 2024.
Around 8:30 p.m., police responded to reports of a disturbance in a vehicle near Massey Road and Clouston Road in Alnwick/Haldimand. Officers located a vehicle matching the description on Burns Road and conducted an impaired driving investigation.
After administering an Approved Screening Device (ASD) test, police arrested the driver, who was transported to a station for further testing.
She faces several charges, including operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus), failure to surrender a driver’s licence, and failure to provide vehicle permit and insurance card.
As per statute, the accused also received a 90-day Administrative Driver Licence Suspension and a seven-day vehicle impound.
