“The complainant advised that three known individuals attended their residence, all of (whom) participated in the assault, then left in a vehicle after making threats to return and cause more harm,” said police, in a release issued Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2024.
Peterborough County OPP confirmed two arrests of a 39-year-old Havelock resident and a 39-year-old Eganville resident in relation to the investigation on Nov. 13. Both individuals were charged with assault causing bodily harm and uttering threats – cause death or bodily harm.
None of these charges have been proven in court.

On Tuesday, police said the individual was arrested on the strength of the outstanding warrant in Peterborough County, and an outstanding warrant in Northumberland County relating to an alleged robbery in Trent Hills on Oct. 18, 2024.
As a result of the investigation, police said the 31-year-old Trent Hills resident was arrested and charged with: Assault causing bodily harm, two counts of uttering threats – cause death or bodily harm, two counts of failure to comply with a probation order, assault with a weapon, unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, robbery using a firearm, two counts of possession of a firearm contrary to prohibition order, uttering threats – damage property, and pointing a firearm.

As previously reported, Northumberland OPP started an investigation into a robbery at a Church Lane Hastings home back on Oct. 18, 2024.
Police were dispatched to the house just before 10 o’clock that night – three suspects allegedly fled in a black SUV before police arrived.
Preliminary investigation pointed to three men assaulting and threatening a resident, police reported initially, noting a phone was also taken during the incident and a firearm believed to have allegedly been brandished.
Northumberland OPP confirmed the arrest of one individual – a 32-year-old Bancroft resident – sought in connection with the incident on Oct. 21.
