A 55-year-old Cobourg man is facing multiple charges after allegedly breaking into a William Street business twice on January 16.
Police say the first incident occurred around 4 a.m., when the man stole food items. The same individual allegedly returned at 1 p.m. and took more items.
Officers identified the suspect through video surveillance and later arrested him.
The man has been charged with breaking and entering, theft under $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime, and failing to comply with a probation order.
The accused was held for a bail hearing.
