A Roseneath man is facing several charges after a reported family dispute in Alderville.
Northumberland OPP say officers responded to a call just after 5 p.m. on May 13. A person at the residence told police they had been assaulted. No injuries were reported. The suspect had already left the scene before officers arrived.
Following an investigation, a 21-year-old man from Roseneath was taken into custody the next day, on May 14.
He is charged with assault with a weapon, break and enter to commit an indictable offence, mischief (domestic), and forcible entry.
The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg. He has not been named in order to protect the identity of the victim.
