Local favourites Garage Dog are firing up their instruments again for a meaningful reunion this summer at The Mill Restaurant and Pub in Cobourg. The two-night benefit concert on July 3 and 4 will support the Cornerstone Family Violence Prevention Centre and the Northumberland Fare Share Food Bank.
Garage Dog is made up of eight original members: Joe Azzarello on bass, Pete Faragher on guitar, Anne Finlay and Todd Garrison on vocals, Roxie Milne on keyboard, Phil Taylor on drums, and both Mike Woods and Dean Smith on guitar.
Woods says the idea came together over Christmas.
Smith, another original member, says there’s deeper meaning behind the shows.
Tickets for the July 3 show have already sold out, and July 4 is filling fast.
The shows, running from 6 to 9 p.m. on July 3 and 7 to 10 p.m. on July 4, will feature music, mingling, and opportunities to learn about the vital services these two local agencies offer. Cornerstone provides support to families and youth affected by violence, while Fare Share addresses food insecurity across Northumberland County.
Garage Dog’s reunion is about more than nostalgia-it’s about community and impact and Woods emphasizes, every dollar will go to two great causes.
Join the reunion and do well by local charities.
