Port Hope Police say a 33-year-old woman is facing charges following a reported assault at a local apartment building.
According to police, officers were dispatched on June 24, 2025, at approximately 8:24 p.m. for a welfare check. Upon arrival, police say they spoke with an individual involved in the incident and, after further investigation, determined there were grounds for an arrest related to an assault.
The accused was reportedly bound by a probation order at the time of the incident, with conditions requiring her to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. Port Hope Police say she has now been charged with assault and failing to comply with a probation order.
The woman was released on an undertaking with conditions and is scheduled to appear in court on a future date.
