Classical music and nature are again coming together to create a unique experience September 6th at Tecasy Ranch in Trent Lakes.
The Peterborough Symphony Orchestra is partnering with the Peterborough Field Naturalists to present field-guided walks along a nature trail where participants will enjoy performances by small ensembles, all while learning about the flora and fauna of the site.
PSO general manager Christie Goodwin says last year’s inaugural Musical Nature Walk sold out, prompting the decision to not only bring it back, but offer two walks, at 12:30 and 4 p.m.
Goodwin says music and nature go hand-in-hand to create a feast for the ear and eyes.
Goodwin says, as a PSO outreach effort, the Musical Nature Walk checks all the boxes.
Among those performing this year is PSO conductor Michael Newnham, who will perform a trombone duet with David Archer.
Tickets for either of the walks can be ordered at – Musical Nature Walk 2025 — Peterborough Symphony Orchestra. The event’s rain date is September 7.
