The Northumberland Humane Society (NHS) is preparing to host its annual Putt4Paws golf tournament, returning Tuesday, September 10th at Dalewood Golf Club in Cobourg.
“Every dollar raised at Putt4Paws directly supports the animals in our care,” said NHS Board Chair Susan Edwards. “It’s more than just a golf tournament – it’s a celebration of compassion and community.”
The fundraiser brings together animal lovers, local businesses, and the community for a day of golf, dinner, and prizes – all in support of shelter animals. Proceeds will help cover food, supplies, and veterinary care for abused, abandoned, and homeless animals across Northumberland County.
NHS Community Outreach specialist Krystyne Gillespie says there are still opportunities to get involved.
She adds the event is more than just golf.
Funds raised at Putt4Paws go directly toward critical care needs.
Registration is $200 per player, including lunch, dinner, a shared cart, and tax receipt. The event begins with lunch at noon followed by a 1 p.m. shotgun start.
