Cobourg’s downtown will transform this Saturday, October 4, as the annual Harvest Festival brings a full day of activities, food, and community spirit to King Street and the surrounding area.
Organized by the Downtown Business Improvement Area, the festival will see shops extend onto the streets, joined by local and visiting vendors offering seasonal goods. Visitors can expect a vibrant atmosphere that highlights the town’s businesses and partnerships.
Jackie Chapman Davis from Experience Cobourg says planning for the event has been a community effort.
The festival lineup includes hands-on experiences and attractions to engage visitors throughout the day.
Chapman Davis explains some of the highlights.
In addition, Cornerstone Family Violence Prevention Centre will once again host its Walk a Mile event during the festival. The annual awareness walk features participants donning red shoes and marching through downtown, drawing cheers and support from the crowd.
Chapman Davis says the event always creates a strong presence.
The Cobourg Farmers’ Market will also be open at Rotary Harbourfront Park, adding to the day’s fall celebrations so mark your calendars for a great day out.
