Cobourg police say they’re continuing to actively investigate several reports of thefts from vehicles and vehicle entries – and are now calling on the public for help.
“Over the past several days, multiple residents have reported incidents involving unknown individuals entering parked vehicles,” said the Cobourg Police Service, in an update Friday, Oct. 17, 2025. “In some cases, cash and personal items were taken.”
Investigators are now calling on the public to help identify individuals captured in video footage, the service said Friday.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police 905-372-6821. Crime Stoppers is also an anonymous option.
Meanwhile, anyone who has experienced a vehicle entry or who has relevant footage is also urged to reach out to investigators.
Police continue to remind all residents to lock vehicles, remove valuables, and report any suspicious activity immediately. Residents are also encouraged to register their security cameras with the Cobourg police camera registry program.
This voluntary program helps officers quickly identify locations of surveillance cameras that may help in investigations. For more information or to register your camera, visit cobourgpoliceservice.com.
