The Town of Cobourg is calling on residents to help shape the future of its parks, trails, recreation facilities and programs through the development of a new parks and recreation master-plan.
The plan will guide community recreation priorities through to 2036, setting direction for how the town plans, develops and manages public spaces and facilities. To help build the plan, Cobourg has partnered with thinc design, a Toronto-based landscape architecture and planning firm.
Community feedback will play a central role in the process, says the town.
Residents can visit EngageCobourg.ca to share ideas and experiences through interactive tools such as a quick poll, social map and online survey. No registration is required and all responses are anonymous.
In the coming weeks, 300 randomly selected households will receive calls from Oraclepoll Research to participate in a phone survey about their use of local parks and recreation spaces.
The online survey and feedback tools will remain open until Monday, Nov. 10, 2025. Paper copies of the survey are available at Victoria Hall and the Cobourg Community Centre.
For more information or assistance accessing the project, residents can email communications@cobourg.ca or call 905-372-4301.
