A 29-year-old Cobourg woman is facing several charges after police say they were called to a disturbance near King Street East and Division Street on Tuesday afternoon.
Police say that around 4:10 p.m. on November 4, officers responded to a report that a woman had threatened the complainant after being asked to leave a property. Officers located an individual matching the description nearby, and following an investigation, the woman was arrested and charged with uttering threats to damage property, uttering threats to damage or injure an animal, and failing to comply with a probation order.
The accused was held for bail and has since been released.
According to the Cobourg Police Service, this is not the woman’s first encounter with officers. Since November 2024, police say she has been arrested five times and charged with nine criminal offences. In total, police report having 38 interactions with the accused over the past year.
