Northumberland Hills Hospital Foundation celebrated a milestone anniversary this month as more than 300 people attended its 25th annual gala, A Silver Soirée, on November 8.
The upscale cocktail-style event welcomed donors, physicians, business leaders, and supporters, marking a quarter-century of philanthropic support for the local hospital.
Gala sponsorship chair Carly Wardle says that as a new member of the gala cabinet, she was struck by the strength of support shown by the business community, noting that backing from both returning donors and first-time sponsors had a meaningful impact on the event’s success. This year’s gala featured 22 sponsors, including seven Platinum sponsors which tied the record set in 2022.
Platinum-level supporters included HTM Insurance, Cameco, Canadian Tire, Vandermeer Toyota, Spoolon Manufacturing Ltd., CPS Wood Products, and Enbridge Inc. Gold sponsors included Belden Canada ULC, IBEW Local 353, Tribute Communities, and The Balder Corporation/Dez Capital, while Silver sponsors such as The Moulton Family, Part Time CFO Services, and Stadtke Plumbing and Heating Ltd. rounded out the list.
Wardle says it was notable to see such strong sponsorship participation during a period marked by economic pressure for many businesses, adding that sponsors at every level demonstrated their ongoing commitment to local healthcare.
Funds raised through The Silver Soirée, including live and silent auction proceeds, will help purchase Endoeye Scopes for surgical services at NHH. These specialized high-definition surgical cameras allow for more precise minimally invasive procedures and support faster patient recovery.
The Foundation will announce total funds raised in a post-gala digital publication on Monday, December 8, and additional information on its impact can be found at nhhfoundation.ca.
