The Pine Ridge Chapter of the Ontario Building Officials Association is celebrating another successful year of philanthropic support after raising $15,700 in their annual charity golf tournament, held this year at Shelter Valley Pines Golf Course in Grafton.
The long-running event has now generated more than $125,000 over its 18-year history, with funds supporting essential community services in Northumberland County. Each organization; the Salvation Army and the Northumberland Fare Share Food Bank have received $7,850 to support direct assistance programs for local families.
Tournament co-organizer and Town of Cobourg Chief Building Official Dave Hancock noted the legacy of the event:
The building officials emphasized the crucial role of local sponsors in enabling the charitable impact. Chief Building Official for Hamilton Township Tim Jeronimus expressed gratitude to the businesses that stepped up.

Organizers say planning has already begun to expand the tournament in 2026.
