The Town of Cobourg is inviting residents, business owners, and community members to share their views on the town’s economic development priorities through a brief mid-term survey on EngageCobourg.ca.
The survey marks the halfway point of Cobourg’s 2023-2028 Economic Development Strategy, and the Development Division says public input is vital to ensure upcoming programs address the most relevant community and business needs. Responses are anonymous and do not require registration. The survey is open until Wednesday, January 21, 2026, and paper copies are available at Victoria Hall’s Customer Service Desk.
Cobourg’s strategy identifies five strategic goals: supporting and revitalizing the downtown, strengthening existing businesses, developing a skilled local workforce, improving investment readiness, and fostering entrepreneurs and innovators through programs such as Venture13. Town officials say the survey will help identify gaps, uncover new opportunities, and inform updates ahead of the strategy’s next major review in 2028.
Residents and business owners are encouraged to provide feedback on what is working well, areas for improvement, and priorities for the coming years.
For more information or assistance completing the survey, participants can contact the town at communications@cobourg.ca or call 905-372-4301.
Town officials say the Engage Cobourg survey is an important opportunity for the community to help shape local economic programs, ensure resources meet community needs, and support the long-term growth and resilience of Cobourg’s economy.
