A 27-year-old Trent Hills man is facing a careless driving charge after a two-vehicle collision Monday, which also involved a transport crashing into an antique store in the Cramahe area, say police.
In an update on Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2026, Northumberland OPP confirmed the tractor-trailer driver had been charged as a result of their investigation into the crash in yesterday’s record-breaking snowstorm.
The crash happened in the County Roads 25 and 27 area and involved the tractor-trailer and passenger vehicle/truck just after noon Monday and shut down the roadway for several hours into the afternoon.
Non-serious injuries were reported.
