The Town of Cobourg has received a complete temporary use application for a property at 628 Ontario Street and will hold a public meeting next month to consider the proposal.
According to a public notice issued January 30, the application was submitted by Abel Branco and Mark Pollard under Section 39 of the Ontario Planning Act. The request seeks permission to allow a medical clinic and associated uses on the site on a temporary basis for a period of three years. The file is listed as ZB-2026-001.
Municipal council will hold a public meeting on the application February 18 at 5:00 p.m. in council chambers on the third floor east wing of Victoria Hall at 55 King Street West.
Residents can attend the meeting in person or participate virtually by Zoom or by phone. Those wishing to join electronically must register with the municipal clerk by 4:00 p.m. the day of the meeting. Written submissions in advance of the meeting are also encouraged and will be shared with council and the public record.
The town says additional background materials and larger-scale maps are available upon request through the planning department. Application documents can be reviewed during regular office hours by contacting the Planning and Development Department and referencing the file number.
Residents can also watch the meeting through the town’s eSCRIBE online meeting feed. Further information is available from Cobourg’s Development Division.
