Port Hope police have made an impaired driving arrest.
While details are scarce, the Port Hope Police Service said on March 7, at about 3:19 p.m., officers arrested a 46-year-old man in connection with an impaired driving investigation.
The probe led to the individual being charged with operation while impaired, and possession of a schedule I substance, reported police.
No details surrounding the investigation, what prompted the arrest or where the accused is from were released by police.
Police said the accused was released on an undertaking and will appear in court at a later date.
The service is again reminding citizens that impaired driving remains a serious criminal offence that puts the safety of everyone on the road at risk.
Police also ask anyone who suspects someone is driving impaired to call 911.
