Northumberland OPP say a 25-year-old Cramahe resident is facing charges following a trespass investigation at a home on Waites Road in the Township of Cramahe.
Police say officers were called shortly after 5 a.m. on April 22 after receiving a report of an unwanted person at the residence.
The caller told police the individual was known to the family.
When officers arrived, they spoke with the person involved and continued the investigation.
Police say officers learned that a resident of the home had also been receiving unwanted communications from the individual.
As a result, the person was taken into custody.
The accused has been charged with trespassing at night, criminal harassment, and harassing communications.
Police say the individual was held for bail and was scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg.
Northumberland OPP say they remain committed to maintaining safe communities and encourage anyone with information about suspected unlawful activity to contact police or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
