Residents are being advised of construction at the Cobourg Public Library.
The Town of Cobourg says work to replace the building’s upper roof will begin Monday, May 11 at the library located at 200 Ontario Street.
The project is expected to continue through the end of May, weather permitting, with construction taking place daily from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Officials say the library will remain open during regular business hours throughout the project, allowing residents to continue accessing services while work is underway.
However, due to the nature of the construction, some noise is expected during working hours.
Barricades and sidewalk closure signage will be put in place as needed to ensure the safety of both workers and the public.
Residents and visitors are asked to follow posted signage and use caution when travelling near the site.
The town says the roof replacement is part of ongoing efforts to maintain municipal infrastructure and ensure public facilities remain safe and functional.
Officials thank residents for their patience and note that timelines may change depending on weather conditions.
