The Cobourg Police Service is asking for the public’s assistance following a break and enter at a residence on Fred Pratt Street in Cobourg late Sunday evening.
On June 21, at approximately 11:20 p.m., police received a report of a break-in at the home. Investigators say surveillance footage shows two unidentified individuals entering the residence earlier in the evening by smashing a sliding glass door at around 6:40 p.m.
According to police, the suspects remained inside the home for roughly 30 minutes before leaving the property at approximately 7:10 p.m. The residence was unoccupied at the time of the break and enter. Jewellery has been reported stolen.
Cobourg Police conducted area canvassing following the report and continue to actively investigate the incident.
Authorities are now appealing to the public for any information that could help identify the individuals involved or clarify suspicious activity in the neighbourhood around the time of the incident.
Anyone who witnessed anything unusual in the Fred Pratt Street area on June 21, or who may have relevant information, is asked to contact the Cobourg Police Service at 905-372-6821.
