Port Hope Transit has added a new bus stop along its A Route in response to feedback from riders.
The new stop is located at the intersection of Walton Street and Brown Street. According to the Municipality, the addition was made after transit users raised concerns about the distance between existing stops along the route.
Municipal officials say the new location is intended to improve accessibility and make transit more convenient for residents using the A Route.
The Municipality thanked riders for sharing their feedback, noting that public input played an important role in identifying the need for the additional stop.
“Thank you for helping us enhance our transit services,” the Municipality said in announcing the change.
The new stop is now in service.
Residents with comments or suggestions about Port Hope Transit are encouraged to continue providing feedback as the Municipality works to improve local transit services and better meet the needs of riders throughout the community.
