The Town of Cobourg has scheduled a public meeting to consider proposed zoning changes affecting the Sunnyside Village development at 540 King Street East.
According to a notice issued by the municipality, the application was submitted by Fotenn Planning and Design on behalf of Sunnyside Village Incorporated under the Planning Act.
The proposal seeks amendments to existing site-specific zoning provisions related to residential density, parking locations, minimum lot sizes, lot coverage and setback requirements.
Town officials said the changes would affect areas currently zoned under several residential, development, environmental constraint and open space designations.
Council will consider the application during a public meeting scheduled for 5 p.m. on Aug. 26 in council chambers at Victoria Hall. Residents may attend in person or watch the proceedings online through the town’s livestream service.
Anyone wishing to address council electronically is being asked to register in advance through the clerk’s office.
Written submissions will also be accepted before the meeting and may become part of the public record.
Additional information on the proposal is available through the Town of Cobourg’s planning department.
