The YMCA of Central East Ontario is inviting community members to explore its programs and facilities during TrY My Y Week, running September 21st to 27th.
The week gives new and returning participants an opportunity to experience the YMCA through a free one-week trial membership. Current members are also encouraged to bring friends and family along.
Activities throughout the week will showcase different areas of the YMCA, including fitness, aquatics, recreation and family programs.
Participants can meet YMCA fitness professionals through Try a Trainer, experience functional fitness using the RIG equipment, join group fitness classes and take part in aquatics activities including swim assessments, Aquafit, open swim and the Water Walkway.
Drop-in programming will also include youth programs, recreational sports, open gym and open swim.
Children ages zero to nine can explore the YMCA’s indoor, multi-level Treehouse playground during open and staffed hours.
There will also be information tables where people can learn more about YMCA programs, services and its community work, with facility tours available through membership staff.
You can even bring a Friend.
Current YMCA members who refer a friend during TrY My Y Week will be entered into a draw for YMCA swag.
If the referred friend joins with a three-month membership commitment, the referring member will receive two free biweekly membership payments.
New members who join during the week will receive their first biweekly membership payment free and will also be entered into a draw for YMCA swag.
The YMCA says TrY My Y Week is intended to give people an opportunity to discover programs, meet others and find activities that fit their health, family and personal goals.
More information and the full schedule are available at YMCA of Central East Ontario events.
