Cobourg will be the first stop on a 12-city Ontario tour when the Level Up Skilled Trades Career Fair comes to town next week.
The event takes place September 23rd and 24th at the Cobourg Community Centre at 750 D’Arcy Street.
Presented by Skilled Trades Ontario, Level Up gives students, parents, jobseekers and other community members an opportunity to explore careers through hands-on experiences and connections with exhibitors.
The fair will showcase opportunities across Ontario’s more than 140 recognized skilled trades.
A public open house will be held Wednesday, September 23rd, from 3 to 7:30 p.m., welcoming students, families, jobseekers and other members of the community.
Skilled Trades Ontario says the event is designed to introduce people to hands-on, high-demand careers and provide information about pathways into the trades, including apprenticeships.
Level Up is now in its fifth year and has previously welcomed more than 140,000 attendees.
The Cobourg stop is part of the organization’s fall 12-city tour.
