A Cobourg council candidate says dozens of his campaign signs have been damaged or destroyed during the municipal election campaign.
Mark Mills says the signs appear to have been cut with a box cutter or similar tool. In a statement, Mills called the incidents criminal vandalism and said he plans to contact Cobourg police to file a complaint.
Mills said campaign signs are an important part of an election campaign and can be expensive to replace.
He is asking anyone who has had one of his signs damaged and wants a replacement to contact his campaign by email or phone.
