The Town of Cobourg is warning residents and visitors about road, pedestrian and parking lot closures scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 24, as marina operations and a downtown Halloween event take place.
The closures will accommodate the second weekend of Cobourg Marina’s fall boat lift-out and hauling operations, along with the Downtown Cobourg DBIA’s Trick or Treat event.
The Esplanade, including its east and west parking lots, will remain closed from 7 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, until 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 25.
Motorists should also expect delays on Hibernia Street south of Third Street and Third Street between Hibernia Street and The Esplanade. Neither location will be fully closed.
Division Street south of The Esplanade will also be affected by the marina work.
The town is advising people travelling through downtown and the waterfront to plan ahead and allow extra time for their trips.
