STUFF TO DO
Thursday: “I’m Every Woman: The Whitney Houston Songbook” comes to the Cameco Capitol Arts Centre in Port Hope from October 22 to 25. Written and performed by Taylor Lovelace, the show celebrates Whitney Houston’s music, featuring musical direction by Jeff Newberry and direction by Rob Kempson. For showtimes and tickets, visit the Cameco Capitol Arts Centre.
Friday: The Cobourg Ghost Walk invites visitors to brave the dark and uncover chilling secrets hidden in Cobourg’s oldest streets, with eerie tales, legendary figures and haunted landmarks. The rain-or-shine walking tours run at 6:30 and 8 p.m., starting at Henley Arcade (48 A King Street W.) For more information and tickets, visit Experience Cobourg.
Friday: The Port Hope Halloween Community Kindness Project runs from 5 to 8:30 p.m. at the Town Park Recreation Centre on McCaul Street. Youth volunteers will carve pumpkins and put together Halloween care packages with treats, cards and activity kits for local long-term care homes, shelters and families in need. It’s a fun way to spread some Halloween cheer and give back to the community.
