Port Hope residents should expect road closures and transit changes during the annual downtown Trick or Treat event on Friday, Oct. 30.
The event, organized by the Historic Business Improvement Area, runs from 5 to 7 p.m. and draws hundreds of children.
Road closures will be in effect from 4 to 8 p.m. on Walton Street between Cavan and Mill streets, along with sections of Ontario, John North and Queen streets.
Parking will not be permitted within the affected areas, and transit routes will be adjusted, with several stops temporarily out of service.
