FSD Pharma is at the final step before being able to sell cannabis.
Co-chairman of the Cobourg-based cannabis producers, Anthony Durkacz, explains the process each producer must go through before being licensed to sell their products.
Durkacz says they recently harvested their second lot and have passed the first two tests and are read for the final step which is a Pre-Sale License Inspection from Health Canada.
The co-chairman says this sales license will make them an actual business.
Durkacz adds that Huge Shops – which FSD Pharma owns just under 9.9 per cent of – has entered Ontario’s lottery to receive one of the first 25 sales licenses for recreational cannabis, so if all goes well on Thursday, FSD Pharma products will be available in Ontario’s brick and mortor recreational cannabis stores come April.
